A Passion Too Great to Ignore

There are so many of us that are struggling to understand what life is all about. We look at our experiences and find it hard to see a meaning for them. Yet something in us has the nerve to go on hoping that life will bring more meaning despite the fact that all we see before our eyes is a strain to make it through. Disillusionment quickly becomes our reality. On this topic I understand. On this topic I feel you. Some things just make no sense but if you can escape for a moment and believe, your life has great meaning.

If you get quiet for some moments and listen to the voice within you will hear even if ever so faintly that voice say "there is more". The more you listen the greater that voice becomes until it builds a passion within, too great to ignore. This voice will lead you to a purposed filled life if you let it. No one is saying you will never go through pain once you've discovered that purpose but in finding your purpose you will gain perspective on where these painful moments in themselves have great purpose and how they can serve you.

I have spent many days looking at the four walls and I walked a lot of streets looking for answers on how to reach that place where it seemed only a few reached. That place where a man's purpose sent ripples through time creating waves of truth for all of us to find. I saw some who despite all adverse situations climbed out to a place that made them look better than they did before they entered that situation. I wondered what made them different I wondered what was inside of me.

Are there some people who are just born great and are the rest of us defective in some way?

Why were some of us struggling with the smallest of things compared to others yet no matter what we tried we couldn't get over them?

These were some of the questions that went back and forth in my mind day after day and year after year. I felt lost and desperately wanted to be found. I thought maybe someone would find me and show me, me.

But in my search to find what made these people so different from others I discovered that we weren't that different we just saw things differently. I wanted to know why what they went through didn't stop them doing something great. In my desire to learn what they had, I began to see that their setbacks, adverse situations and devastations were not as strong as their desire to doing something great. So "it" being their (adverse situations) had to fall. The thing they all had in common was they developed a passion within too great to ignore and as a result we see that passion manifested into the great things they have done.

One of my heroes is Harriet Tubman. I admire her determination and courage and contribution to this world and I always have but of recent years I'm able to appreciate something much more about her. I use to look back and see her just as a woman who became free from slavery and then helped those to freedom under dangerous circumstances and whilst this is true now I see a woman whose passion to live a life full of purpose was too great to ignore. She lived a purposed filled life. She looked death in the eye and said I'll tell you when I'm ready to go. The passion within her was too great to ignore not even death could faze her. She lived more than some of us who have a many more choices on what we can do with our life. In her commitment to help others and live out her life fearlessly we can see the key to living a life with passion too great to ignore.

I wake up every day knowing how beautiful the gift of life is and I am sure that Harriet Tubman felt what I feel. I use to think because she lived in the time of slavery she must have lived a sad life but now I know she had a peace some only dream of. I feel confident that she must have slept well at night because she knew that in what she came here to do, she did not compromise. In that we see her greatness unveiled.

Surround yourself with possibility thinkers. Be willing to learn from those people who came before you, those that who knew what you desire to know. Do whatever it takes to sit at their feet.

Can you fan the voice within you as if you were fanning a camp fire on a beautiful night and build up your passion so that it becomes too great to ignore?

Do you have a passion too great to ignore?

Can you find the courage to get another vision?

Can you begin to see the setbacks and devastation as a building ground for whatever you desire?

Can you paint a new picture?

No one says it will be easy but if you can make a decision to build that passion until it's too great to ignore, you will find strength. At that point you will do all that is necessary to bring forth your purpose. Then you will see how all the help you need, will appear to you. The things you need to learn will surface. The people you need to meet will walk into your life. Mountains will obey your voice when you tell them I can walk over you. There is no question if you are willing to work and dedicate yourself to your purpose, your purpose will develop in you. If you can build that passion until it's too great to ignore you will with great appreciation see how all your adversities have come to serve you.

The amalgamation of all your experiences will bring about a treasure in you this world was destined to see.
